So I bought an sks for 100 bucks and after looking it over there's a pretty bad scratch in the muzzle end of the barrel (last 3 inches or so) so I've decided to cut it down. However the tapering barrel has me worried about finding a front sight that will work. Anyone know of any aftermarket front sights that will fit the outside diameter of the barrel after the barrel cut?
Before anyone starts screaming "don't mess up a perfectly good sks" or "the chrome plating will flake" I know what I'm getting into and will debate your flaking claim til the end ?.
Now I have no lathe and the local shop refused to mess with the rifle because he just doesn't want to be held liable if something bad happened because he isnt "not a comblock fan"
