Weather Radio able to lockout thunderstorm ?

Does anyone know of a way to lock out Severe Thunderstorms on a SAME weather radio ?

We have an earth sheltered house, built to exceed both earthquake and hurricane (I was raised in FL) standards.

Our safe room is 100% underground, and we can retreat there directly from the kitchen without having to go outside.

We have far more severe thunderstorms here than tornado's, and I HATE getting woken up in the middle of the night for Severe Thunderstorms warnings (and usually repeatedly) that we do not feel justify moving to the underground (which is camping pads and sleeping bags, wish it was larger and could have a set of bunk beds; hindsight). We end up leaving the radio off... which means we would miss a tornado warning.

I have looked at many programmable weather alert radio's, and you can lock out all warnings EXCEPT tornado, and Severe Thunderstorm.

Does anyone know of either a radio that can be programed to lock out severe thunderstorms, OR of someone who could reprogram the 'chip' so that we could ?
