Being dense

Trying to post a "quick reply" (??) and getting "Your submission could not be processed because you have logged in since the previous page was loaded."

I cannot understand that. I did just log in, before composing my reply. I don't think I could have even composed otherwise. Then when I clicked to post I was prompted to log in. I clicked to post and up popped a screen with my login information and I could see only one thing to do from there, it was either login or post, don't recall, but all that got me was the cryptic message above.

I logged in before composing my post. Clicked to post and it did not post. When am I supposed to log in? How do I post?

I've managed it before, but I don't know how, and I've also had this issue before. Now I'm struggling to see how to post this!

There's a lot here I just do not understand.
