heating off lights

So I am experimenting with some car flashers/emergency light bulbs

I noticed when connected to 12v they heat up.

You have those survival candles, however you never hear about use of frontend lights as heating elements.

Anyone see this anywhere?

It could work in another situation also where a 12v battery and the headlamps much like heating off a 120v bulb
