Hello from mom in NC. Closet Prepper.

Hi!

I cannot tell you how to cook Long Term food as I do not have any: my OWN closet preps have more to do with Lipton sides, cans of Spagetti sauce, and cans of chili. To avoid having the neighbors look at me funny I always called it a pantry. Because kids will be kids, and I did not want them telling their friends I had preps.

My kids are grown up now, and last week I suggested to my son that he set a few things aside also, as he woke up one morning and realized all he had in the house was bagels and bacon, he was broke, and it was a day before payday. Mind, a bagel sandwich does not make a bad dinner in my opinion, and in my opinion it did not make a bad breakfast either, but he was not pleased.

So I reminded him of my pantry and suggested he start a small one also. He might or might not, but a Mom has to strike when the iron is hot.
