Moving to Tonga to live on an uninhabited island.

I'm going to live on an uninhabited island for around 5 years, and could use your wisdom.

The island is very remote, so when I land on this island there is no way for me to get any supplies, its a one shot deal.I don't have any experience with gardening other than plant veggies/fruit in fertile soil, water, and allow sun. Any info you can provide to me, such as what tools I should bring, and what seeds can be grown in the Tonga climate would be invaluable at this point.

Also off topic any other supplies you think I should bring for long term survival would also be beneficial, such as a machete etc.
