Walmarts savings catcher app??

As the technologically challenged one in my house, my wife is in charge of things like this. She has been using an app from Walmart called savings catcher. You scan the bar code of a receipt and after they do some price matching of stuff you get money credited to the app. At first I thought it was a waste but after a couple months we had "earned" enough to pay for a week's groceries.
How?
Well... Thars where I come in. It's my task to wander through the parking lot looking for discarded receipts. I find em on the ground (since people seem to like to litter), left in carts, etc. You can only scan so many a day and not all of them produce more than a penny or so. But it does work.
Just wondering if anyone else uses it??
