Questions about materials used to manufacture straight batons

I recently acquired a straight baton. It says Chicago Batons on it but I'm pretty sure it was made by Rothco. I think I paid about $15. It is a little lighter than I would like and it is made of "nylon fiberglass". How strong is it? How resistant to breaking is it?

When I was looking at straight batons online, I noticed the wood ones are made out of either "hardwood" or hickory. The synthetic ones, other than the one I bought above and thermoplastic ones, are "poly-carbonate". Are poly-carbonate batons better than hardwood/hickory batons or vice-versa? Why is one better than the other?

How weight to lose per month when dieting/exercising?

I need to lose weight. In the past I read it isn't a good idea to lose more than 10 lbs per month. Does that hold true if a person did about 2 or 3 hours of cardio per day and cut calories so that he felt mildly or so hungry? In other words not cutting calories low enough so one feels like he is starving.

If a person was doing 3 hours of cardio exercise per day, how much can one lose per month without the weight loss being unhealthy?

Somebody gave me a homemade cloth surgical type mask. For awhile it worked fine but washing changed the fit till my nose was wanting to poke out like people i had been laughing about. I was thinking about retrofitting adding some nose reinforcement. But someone gave me some real disposable surgical masks. These have the metal nose strip reinforcement and a much better tighter fit. The fit is almost as good as my stashed n95 masks though those are construction grade and have the frowned on exhalation valve. These surgical masks fit much closer unlike the cuplike n95. Made from some kind of paper with elastic ear strings and metal strip above nose you can shape to fit. Disposable but i expect to reuse.
