Possible move

Now that Mrs. K and I are setting on an empty nest, We're thinking of moving. We just drove to Norfolk VA. from Marble Falls Texas. We're wanting to move from the Hill Country, now that the kids have moved on (One in Germany, one in Virginia). Neither are going to stay where they're at for too much longer. They haven't decided where they're going yet...... So...... Mrs' K and I, are thinking of moving somewhere WE want to be.

Virginia is too cold.
Maine (Miss V, may wind up there, since she's a bit of a cold weather gal), WAAAY too cold!

We are looking at anything from Tyler Texas, eastward (NOT northward!). Out of all the states we went through last week, Mrs. K, liked Louisiana the best. I concur. I've always wanted to live in, or bordering Louisiana. I've spent some time there. This was Mrs. K's first trip there.

Looking around I20, or along I10.

Monroe area, Bossier City area, I like the Lake Charles area (NOT in town!). Ideally, I'd like to live somewhere on the Sabine river, as I grew up on the Ohio River, and enjoy fishing. Mr's K is OK with SW Louisiana.

Oddly enough, Mrs. K kind of fell in love with the swamp!

Newton Texas, Kirbyville Texas, Orange Texas.

Sibly LA. Choudrant, near Ruston, DeRidder LA. Lake Charles area?

Any advice would be welcomed.
