Sub MOA bolt gun

I am looking at getting into long range shooting. I have the time, the money and patience to learn and understand I need to practice, practice, practice. I'd really like my caliber to be .308 but am open to others. I don't want to get into 6.5 because I hear they run through barrels pretty quickly and expensive to shoot. What I'm looking for is a good SHTF bolt gun, not too expensive but one that is known for good accuracy. Ive looked into Remington 700, Mossberg MVP LR, Ruger RPR... If you have a recommendation I am all ears. Id like to be able to one day hit consistently out to 1000 yards. Hoping to be able to make one hole at 100 yards in a 5 shot group, considering the conditions were optimal and I did my part.
As far as glass goes I'm most likely getting something from the NightForce brand.
What do you run and how has it performed? How long have you been shooting these distances? What is your preferred caliber for accuracy and SHTF?
