Marco Polo app

My 70 something uncle just loaded this app on his android and it blasted an invite to all of his contacts.

Of course I followed with a WTF call to him. But also did a little research. I checked their website:

And their privacy policy page. Basically it says if you let us in we have free access to anything and everything on your phone.

Anybody have any experience with this app? It looks legit. And has some good reviews - although I have no idea who wrote them. I just don't like the privacy policy - isn't that what the NSA is for - to phish around???
