Two DPMS G2 AR10's, one long range, one <7lbs scout rifle, plus an Adams Arms 16" piston to swap on the long range, give a good smith a few hundo to work them over, $3000.
Two 300BLK 16" PSA rifles, $1200.
One 18" free-floated Melonite 1/8 5R Wylde with adjustable gas and A5, $700.
One 20" as above, $725.
That leaves $400 for building tools, spare parts, reloading setup, mags, ammo. All three rifles use two sets of dies, two bullets and two cases to reload for. All share the majority of spare parts, triggers, bolts, etc. All have nearly identical feel and usage, so training overlaps. You can use mag wraps to differentiate calibers, but in general 16" will be 300BLK, longer will be 5.56, should help stop any ammo mixups. These three calibers can handle pretty much anything to 800 yards and a little beyond.
