Let's imagine DACA ends on March 5...

... and President Trump gets most of what he and/or his base wants. This includes no clean DACA bill, no amnesty of any kind/type/form, and no extension.

On 3/5/2018, DACA ends - permanently. And with that, roughly 1k DACA recipients begin to lose their protections, become susceptible for deportation, and following all this, ICE begins to round up DACA recipients. ICE gets data on DACA recipients from the government.

I have read some say that the mere image of crying, desperate, panicking young men and women (some wholesome, some criminal) being either thrown out through the U.S.-Mexico border, or flown out, or in shackles and prison garb, will so thoroughly shock America that it'll be a Pyrrhic victory for us and it'll mean we'll lose the White House.

But is this really realistic? Will America truly have convulsions of disgust and horror if DACA recipients are deported en masse?

What do you guys think would occur in such a scenario?
